This is a /now page: where I write what I'm actually focused on right now — not the resume version, the real version. I update it every month or two.
At WellSky I'm SVP of Software Engineering across the post-acute portfolio — Home Health, Hospice & Palliative, Personal Care, Home Infusion, Specialty Pharmacy, DME, and the Enterprise capabilities that tie them together. Day to day that's nearly 400 engineers, ongoing GCP migration work, and the operating system of how those teams ship.
On the side: this site. It started as a consulting site and became an editorial column about what's actually shifting in software. Most recent post — Open vs. Moat: What I/O Week Actually Said.
The current thread: how the major AI labs are positioning around the agentic era. Anthropic going vertical (finance, legal, security), Google publishing open stacks, Microsoft and Notion fighting over the control plane — and what any of it means for builders who have to pick what to depend on.
Next on the list: a post on what changes when "personal agent" stops meaning chat. Spark, scheduled agents, dreaming — that's the shift.
I build alongside Claude Code every day. Most of the features on this site — including this page — were shipped that way. The leverage isn't raw speed; it's how much of the boring scaffolding stops being a tax on getting to the interesting part.
Current stack: .NET 8 with Razor Pages, SQLite for dev and Azure App Service for prod, Claude Opus 4.7 with the 1M context window, ffmpeg for image conversion, Gamma for blog accent imagery.
In progress — I'll fill this in as the stack on my desk shifts.
This page follows Derek Sivers's /now convention.
